Took initiative across multiple departments to revive this stalled project and bring to production. Develop new functionality for current Electronic Bed Management application. Working through Glenridge Healthcare Solutions, was placed on an off-site project to assist CareFirst with various database related projects. Responsible for streamlining data entry process to mainframe fee schedule database. Created reports from flat text data for analysis. Provided recommendations to developers as to database structure and considerations for growth.

Senior application developer within the company. Responsible for maintaining, growing, and improving custom network development database / software. Assisted in leading and coordinating task assignment and application / database development for a small team. Assisted in development and operation of a patient claims (overpayment) recovery system. Provide general IT support and recommendations regarding software, hardware and strategy for various technical endeavors. Researched various database reporting packages and recommended / implemented Microsoft Reporting Services. Recommended methods to monitor data integrity and assisted in the development of related reports.

Business was grown completely from word of mouth and recommendations from only a small handful of initial clients. Specific services are computer servicing/troubleshooting/maintenance, providing recommendations for streamlining business operations, complete turn-key website and database development, network setup, troubleshooting, and application development. Parent company of Avesis, Inc. and ABIS, Inc. (below) recognized my relevant skills and placed me in contact with healthcare recruiters in order to assist in developing better methods for tracking providers in the contract negotiation process. Initiated the migration from Microsoft Excel to Access for data acquisition and tracking. Developed web site for AbsoluteCare, a small endeavor within Avesis.

ABIS, Inc., Database Programmer, Owings Mills, MD (4-2002 - 11-2004)
Hired as a web developer, designed websites for various corporate endeavors. Promoted to database programmer in a direct mail facility. Responsible for performing mail sorts, splits, de-duping, and data analysis/manipulation of mailing lists upwards of 3 million records. Additionally, solely responsible for maintaining large database for a web application providing electronic statements for Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union (a service provided by ABIS in addition to mailing paper statements.)
